Follow these recommended practices to optimize your topic profiles in Social Studio effectively:

Validate Your Data:
- After adding keywords, review the results to ensure relevance and minimize irrelevant posts.
- Monitor brand discussions and adjust the topic profile accordingly.
Enhance Keyword Proximity:
- Use the proximity feature by adding “~” before finalizing keywords.
- Adjust proximity using the slider, with a maximum setting of 20 words apart.
- For instance, setting proximity to 5 means both keywords must appear within 5 words of each other in the same post.
Avoid Generic Keywords:
- Prevent off-topic posts by avoiding generic keywords or abbreviations.
- Specify keywords with modifiers, like using “Healthcare IT” instead of just “IT.”
Improve Load Times:
- Limit the number of keywords to 60 or less in a topic profile.
- Avoid overusing “DOES NOT CONTAIN” keywords (keep them under 30).
- Refrain from using short, common keywords or exclusion words like “and,” “the,” or “it.”
