Log In with Your Email Address
Use your email address instead of your username to access your Salesforce account. If you have multiple accounts, Salesforce displays them so you can choose the correct one and complete authentication.
Availability
- Supported in: Lightning Experience
- Available in: All Salesforce editions
How It Works
Each Salesforce user has a unique username (formatted like an email) and a verified email address. Since your email is always associated with your account, you can use it to log in instead of remembering a complex username.
Note:
- You cannot use this feature for sandbox logins.
- Email login is only available if your email is not shared with other users. If multiple people access the same email, you must log in with your username.
When you click “Log In with Email” and enter your address:
- If you have one authentication method, Salesforce redirects you automatically.
- If you have multiple options, you’ll see them listed for selection.
- If your org uses Single Sign-On (SSO), you’ll be directed to your identity provider.
How to Access
- Visit login.salesforce.com and click “Log In with Email.”
- For quick access, bookmark welcome.salesforce.com or use your usual login method.
Finding Your Email & Username
Your account includes both an email and a username (which may or may not match your email). Check your account settings if you need to confirm these details.
Logging In with Multiple Accounts
- Enter your email and verify it with a security code.
- Select the correct Salesforce account.
- Complete authentication.
Adding or Switching Emails
If you’ve logged in before, Salesforce shows previously used emails. You can select one or enter a different address.
