In this webinar you will hear: For more information fill out the contact us form below or reach out to the Public Sector team [email protected] Get ready for the Next Frontier in Enterprise AI: Shaping Public Policies for Trusted AI Agents! AI agents are a technological revolution – the third wave of artificial intelligence after predictive and generative AI. They go beyond traditional automation, being capable of searching for relevant data, analyzing it to formulate a plan, and then putting the plan into action. Users can configure agents with guardrails that specify what actions they can take and when tasks should be handed off to humans. Agentic AI is already here. Innovative organizations have started deploying and benefitting from AI agents in concrete ways. However, for governments, enterprises, and the workforce to be able to harness the full potential of AI agents, they will need more than just the right technology; they will need the right public policies to help them become agent-ready. At a time when global policymakers seek pathways to economic growth, the advent of AI agents offers a unique opportunity to think deeply about the policies that will enable the diffusion of trusted AI in government and the enterprise, and equip the workforce with the necessary skills to unlock AI’s full potential for enhanced productivity and more meaningful work. AI agents build on earlier innovations, including chatbots and AI assistants. These all play a role in task automation; however, there are differences in their levels of sophistication and personalization in serving their users and the range of tasks they can perform. Key considerations for AI agents: Government services as a role model for agentic AI and humans together Governments today face ever-increasing pressures to serve citizens with constrained resources. Research surveying people in over 40 countries has shown that 75% expect government service quality to be on par with leading private sector companies, while 72% are comfortable with personalized government digital services. Amidst these pressures, there is clear demand for trusted innovative tools from government workers themselves – a recent survey across 14 countries estimated that 49% of government workers have used unapproved generative AI tools at work. Governments have enormous opportunities to safely leverage AI agents – in particular their speed, responsiveness, personalization – to enhance citizen-facing services. For example, if a citizen wants to check on the status of their application for a license or a public benefit, an agent-powered interface could at any hour assist them in ascertaining the status of their application, locate public information on policies and application procedures, or schedule an appointment to access a related service. These interactions would have previously taken the citizen far longer, required valuable government employee time, may have only been available during business hours, or been left undone altogether. By deploying agents in these contexts governments can make the most of their limited resources while building citizen satisfaction with and trust in services. In addition to leading by example in digital transformation, governments can play a pivotal role in boosting diffusion of trusted AI solutions, including AI agents, in the private sector. As governments search for new ways to promote economic growth and combat inflation, this is a key moment for national economies. The rapid development and commercialization of AI tools have created opportunities for businesses large and small around the world to rapidly become more productive and gain a competitive edge by adopting frontier technologies. But to achieve the benefits, businesses need to overcome resource constraints, rapidly acquire new commercial knowledge and practical skills, and have regulatory clarity. For governments to position their businesses for success, they need to set ambitious goals and identify and remedy the blockers that hold back the uptake of new technologies by enterprises. For the past 25 years, Salesforce has led their customers through every major technological shift: from cloud, to mobile, to predictive and generative AI, and, today, agentic AI. We are at the cusp of a pivotal moment for enterprise AI that has the opportunity to supercharge productivity and change the way we work forever. This will require governments working together with industry, civil society, and all stakeholders to ensure responsible technological advancement and workforce readiness. We look forward to continuing our contributions to the public policy discussions on trusted enterprise AI agents. Salesforce Unveils Agentforce for Consumer Goods

Salesforce Unveils Agentforce for Consumer Goods

Salesforce Unveils Agentforce for Consumer Goods: Accelerating AI Adoption in Retail San Francisco, [April 2025] – Just eight days after launching Agentforce for Field Service, Salesforce has introduced Agentforce for Consumer Goods—a tailored solution designed to help brands quickly deploy AI agents across four key sectors: customer service, key account management, retail sales, and field operations. Unlike previous editions that offered pre-built AI agents for specific roles, this release provides a library of industry-specific skills and actions, empowering consumer goods companies to rapidly customize and deploy their own AI assistants. Why Agentforce for Consumer Goods? While businesses could already build agents on the standard Agentforce platform, this industry-focused edition accelerates deployment with:✔ Pre-configured skills for customer service, sales, and field teams✔ Faster implementation with ready-made automation components✔ Lower-risk experimentation for brands new to agentic AI “Salesforce is curating a smooth onboarding experience for companies entering the agentic AI era,” says Martin Schneider, VP & Principal Analyst at Constellation Research. “This gives quick wins—building confidence before diving into advanced multi-agent workflows.” Key Use Cases for Consumer Goods Brands 🛎️ AI-Powered Customer Service Agents Example: A rep at a home appliance company can ask an AI agent to check a customer’s product health—if maintenance is due, the agent drafts a service quote in seconds. 📈 Smarter Sales Assistants Example: If an account’s order volume drops unexpectedly, an AI agent can recommend new products to pitch, helping sales teams react faster. 🚚 Optimized Field Operations Example: When a customer requests a replacement, an AI agent instantly books delivery, assigns the nearest driver, and updates schedules—no manual input needed. The Bigger Picture: Salesforce’s Agentforce Momentum This launch follows: With 5,000+ customers already on Agentforce, industry-specific editions like this lower the barrier to entry—letting more brands test AI agents in low-stakes scenarios before scaling. What’s Next? Expect more vertical-focused Agentforce releases in 2025, building on earlier launches like Agentforce for Retail. For now, consumer goods brands have a new toolkit to turn repetitive tasks into automated workflows—freeing teams to focus on growth. Ready to explore AI agents for your business? Data Cloud Billable Usage

Data Cloud Billable Usage Overview Usage of certain Data Cloud features impacts credit consumption. To track usage, access your Digital Wallet within your Salesforce org. For specific billing details, refer to your contract or contact your Account Executive. Important Notes ⚠️ Customer Data Platform (CDP) Licensing – If your Data Cloud org operates under a CDP license, refer to Customer Data Platform Billable Usage Calculations instead.⚠️ Sandbox Usage – Data Cloud sandbox consumption affects credits, with usage tracked separately on Data Cloud sandbox cards. Understanding Usage Calculations Credit consumption is based on the number of units used multiplied by the multiplier on the rate card for that usage type. Consumption is categorized as follows: 1. Data Service Usage Service usage is measured by records processed, queried, or analyzed. Billing Category Description Batch Data Pipeline Based on the volume of batch data processed via Data Cloud data streams. Batch Data Transforms Measured by the higher of rows read vs. rows written. Incremental transforms only count changed rows after the first run. Batch Profile Unification Based on source profiles processed by an identity resolution ruleset. After the first run, only new/modified profiles are counted. Batch Calculated Insights Based on the number of records in underlying objects used to generate Calculated Insights. Data Queries Based on records processed, which depends on query structure and total records in the queried objects. Unstructured Data Processed Measured by the amount of unstructured data (PDFs, audio/video files) processed. Streaming Data Pipeline Based on records ingested through real-time data streams (web, mobile, streaming ingestion API). Streaming Data Transforms Measured by the number of records processed in real-time transformations. Streaming Calculated Insights Usage is based on the number of records processed in streaming insights calculations. Streaming Actions (including lookups) Measured by the number of records processed in data lookups and enrichments. Inferences Based on predictive AI model usage, including one prediction, prescriptions, and top predictors. Applies to internal (Einstein AI) and external (BYOM) models. Data Share Rows Shared (Data Out) Based on the new/changed records processed for data sharing. Data Federation or Sharing Rows Accessed Based on records returned from external data sources. Only cross-region/cross-cloud queries consume credits. Sub-second Real-Time Events & API Based on profile events, engagement events, and API calls in real-time processing. Private Connect Data Processed Measured by GB of data transferred via private network routes. 🔹 Retired Billing Categories: Accelerated Data Queries and Real-Time Profile API (no longer billed after August 16, 2024). 2. Data Storage Allocation Storage usage applies to Data Cloud, Data Cloud for Marketing, and Data Cloud for Tableau. Billing Category Description Storage Beyond Allocation Measured by data storage exceeding your allocated limit. 3. Data Spaces Billing Category Description Data Spaces Usage is based on the number of data spaces beyond the default allocation. 4. Segmentation & Activation Usage applies to Data Cloud for Marketing customers and is based on records processed, queried, or activated. Billing Category Description Segmentation Based on the number of records processed for segmentation. Batch Activations Measured by records processed for batch activations. Activate DMO – Streaming Based on new/updated records in the Data Model Object (DMO) during an activation. If a data graph is used, the count is doubled. 5. Ad Audiences Service Usage Usage is calculated based on the number of ad audience targets created. Billing Category Description Ad Audiences Measured by the number of ad audience targets generated. 6. Data Cloud Real-Time Profile Real-time service usage is based on the number of records associated with real-time data graphs. Billing Category Description Sub-second Real-Time Profiles & Entities Based on the unique real-time data graph records appearing in the cache during the billing month. Each unique record is counted only once, even if it appears multiple times. 📌 Example: If a real-time data graph contains 10M cached records on day one, and 1M new records are added daily for 30 days, the total count would be 40M records. 7. Customer Data Platform (CDP) Billing Previously named Customer Data Platform orgs are billed based on contracted entitlements. Understanding these calculations can help optimize data management and cost efficiency. Track & Manage Your Usage 🔹 Digital Wallet – Monitor Data Cloud consumption across all categories.🔹 Feature & Usage Documentation – Review guidelines before activating features to optimize cost.🔹 Account Executive Consultation – Contact your AE to understand credit consumption and scalability options. Salesforce Document Generation

Generating Documents in Salesforce

Salesforce document generation poses a challenge for businesses, given the intricacies of integration involved. Fortunately, a variety of tools are available for generating documents in Salesforce, and Tectonic is well-equipped to assist in their successful implementation. Salesforce Industries Document Generation empowers businesses to craft and manage accurate documents linked to standard Salesforce objects, encompassing contracts, opportunities, orders, quotes, and custom objects. For a more dynamic approach, Salesforce OmniStudio Document Generation facilitates the creation of documents using Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint templates. These templates can incorporate values from any JSON-based data within the text, including data sourced from various Salesforce objects. This versatile tool enables the generation of contracts, proposals, quotes, reports, non-disclosure agreements, service agreements, and more. Salesforce Industries Document Generation seamlessly integrates with Vlocity Insurance, Vlocity Health, communications, media, energy, utilities, government, and beyond. Vlocity Analytics, another valuable component, offers pre-built measurement tools that seamlessly integrate with Salesforce Reports, Dashboards, and Einstein. The Salesforce AppExchange boasts an extensive array of over 200 document generation tools. Your Salesforce partner can assist in selecting, installing, and implementing the most suitable options based on your business requirements. With Document Generation, you can generate contracts, proposals, quotes, reports, non-disclosure agreements, job offers, service agreements, and so on. You can generate documents using the specified sample client-side or server-side OmniScripts. You can also create your own OmniScripts by cloning and customizing the sample OmniScript to generate documents. Client-Side document generation is a synchronous process that results in a downloadable preview of the generated documents. You can generate documents from Microsoft Word (.docx), Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx), and Web templates. These templates can include values from any JSON-based data in the text, including data from any Salesforce object. You can optionally convert the resulting documents to .pdf format. Server-Side document generation is available in both the OmniStudio Foundation and Salesforce Industries packages. Server-Side document generation is an asynchronous process that’s best for large and rendering-heavy documents and for document generation in batches. The Server-Side document generation service is secure and scalable and is hosted on Salesforce Hyperforce. The generated document is stored in your Salesforce org, and is attached to the object for which it’s generated. You can use Apex Classes, sample Integration Procedures, or a sample OmniScript to generate documents. Client-Side document generation supports Customer Community Plus, Customer Community, and Partner Community users to generate documents using client-side OmniScripts. Server-Side document generation supports Customer Community Plus, Customer Community, and Partner Community users to generate documents using the singleDocxServersideLwc server-side OmniScript. With the right licenses, Document Generation is available in the Salesforce Industries package. Metering measures resource utilization levels and throttling controls resource access and use based on defined rules. Metering measures the number of server-side documents that are generated by an org hourly and daily. The default hourly and daily limits for processing server-side document generation requests are 1,000 per org and 24,000 per org respectively. Throttling maintains consistency and resilience of the server-side document generation service by managing incoming server-side document generation requests from multiple orgs. Throttling can also prevent service degradation caused by high volume of requests at peak hours by blocking requests that exceed the default limits. The request details are saved in the Document Generation Processes entity. You can retrieve the blocked requests and later retry the server-side document generation. No matter what your specific document generation needs, Tectonic simplifies the process of getting your system up and running seamlessly, whether it’s through Salesforce Quickstarts or comprehensive implementation services.
