In need of help to implement requisite configuration updates to establish a usable data model for data segmentation that supports best practices utilization of Marketing Cloud features including Contact Builder, Email Studio and Journey Builder.
The Solution:
- Configuration of Contact Builder data relationship used in Journey Builder
- Consolidated data used in segmentation into a master table
- Assisted with getting web forms to send data into Marketing Cloud
- Technical implementation of 6 Journey, included email and SMS channels
Examples: Welcome, New Patient, Monthly Newsletters, Birthday, Health Diagnostics, Re-Engagement, etc…
The Results:
- Determined what client should incorporate for a data model with standard and custom Salesforce objects and fields to allow Marketing Cloud to drive patient marketing and communication.
- Enhanced segmentation & multi-channel fundraising capabilities
- Implemented Salesforce Shield™ in order to protect sensitive patient & related person data

We have structured the data relationships in Health Cloud so that we can eventually filter off of certain fields or send an email to a parent or guarantor.
Marketing Cloud: Birthday Journey
A personalized automated email goes out on birthday which discusses milestones for that age group. This contains the primary provider’s photo and contact information.
Health Cloud: Web to Lead Forms
We created web forms which intends to capture new expectant mothers who are not already in the hospital database and save these leads into Salesforce. These mother’s get an email with information about delivery at the Children’s Hospital.
Marketing Cloud: Diagnosis Segmentation
We created a master database of patient diagnoses which is used to filter which communications go to which parents
Marketing Cloud: New Patient Automation
For New Patients, there is a multi-channel journey which sends them an email and SMS if they have opted in to receive text messaging.
